“Munedaiko” is a study group dedicated to the practice and enhancement of the traditional Japanese drum “Taiko” which, through its vibrations, aims to deepen the harmony of the spirit in resonance with the mind and state of mind of every human being.

The group’s goal through this immersive art is to introduce people to the expressive power of their drums, which makes the listener relive fragments of ancient Japan.

Officially recognized as a cultural collaborator by the Japanese Embassy in Italy, “Munedaiko” organizes and performs in concerts throughout Italy and Europe, bringing back the music, theater and dance of this centuries-old tradition in their incredible performances .

Mugen Yahiro

Artist and teacher recognized by the “Free Oki do Mikkyo Yoga University.” Born in Italy, in Corbordolo (PU) in 1991, he has been practicing taiko since the age of fourteen, beginning his multidisciplinary study with master and artist Niwa Motoyuki, who also introduced him to the visual and performing arts of noh theater, whose technique of creating and using masks he learned.

In Japan he joined for over a year the percussionist group Ondekoza, active since 1969 on Sado Island, famous for ennobling Japanese drum music to virtuosic stage performance art.

In 2014, he founded Munedaiko a group dedicated to the practice of traditional Japanese drumming with the intention of enhancing the instrument also as a way of rediscovery and inner development.

He is officially recognized as a cultural collaborator by the Japanese Embassy in Italy because of his continuous efforts to promote art and culture in the country.

Naomitsu Yahiro

Born in Pesaro in1987. Studied and practiced from 2008 to 2015 at gulun kung fu academy in China where he was recognized as an instructor in traditional martial arts. He is later recognized by the free Okido Mikkyo Yoga university as a Shaolin V Dan master.

In 2007, thanks to M°Mugen Yahiro who introduced him to the art of Taiko, he began alternating his study in China with the practice of Taiko by joining Munedaiko from its foundation where he began performing in concerts in Italy and abroad. Among the various disciplines he researches, he specializes in Meiso Shiatsu.

In addition to being a martial arts master and wadaiko artist, he is also head of the academy of the Free University Okido Mikkyo Yoga study group dedicated to the pursuit of a truly humane life and mutual prosperity.

Tokinari Yahiro

Born in Pesaro in 1984. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino. During his academic years he began practicing taiko, going so far as to take it as part of his thesis. He has been a member of Munedaiko since its founding.

He joined the renowned group Ondekoza from 2016 to 2019, during which time he had the opportunity to perform at countless concerts throughout Japan and on several tours around the world.

During these years, in addition to deepening his study of taiko , he devoted himself to the practice of Japanese wind instruments shakuhachi and shinobue.
